Come, cycle with us for 3 days straight, to the Golden Triangle of India! From India Gate to the City of Taj, onto Jaipur, let your cycle give you wings :) This is a professional cycling event and requires a certain level of experience and training. We’ll be cycling for over 200 kms everyday and it would require high level of endurance and strength. To be a part of this event, register here ---. The registrations close on 30th November and we’ll announce the shortlisted list of candidates on 3rd December. This is a non-ticketed event. The participants will be selected on the basis of their entry forms. The participants will not be charged any kind of fee for the event on selection. 10th December 2015 Delhi - Agra Pack all you need and reach India Gate at 4 in the morning. Feel the first warm ray of sun after a cold dark December night and get ready for the final flag-off to an amazing journey to Agra. We’ll be stopping at Nuh for breakfast and at Mathura for lunch. After a day packed with intense cycling and adventure, we have our dinner in Agra and make our way to Zostel Agra for a night full of recuperation. 11th December 2015 Agra- Jaipur Mornings in Agra and Jaipur are different and you’ll have to be there to believe it. On the morning of 11th at 4 AM, we’ll leave for Jaipur. After rigorous cycling, we’ll stop for breakfast at Hantra. To charge ourselves again we’ll have a lunch at Sikandra Junction. After your rendezvous with the Pink city and a sumptuous dinner, it’ll soon be time to curl up in the comfortable bunk beds of Zostel Jaipur. 12th December 2015 Jaipur - Delhi The morning of 12th December is going to be special as this day will embark the completion of this marvelous journey. Bid adieu to the Pink city and get set to leave for Delhi. After cycling for a few hours, we’ll halt at Shahpura for breakfast. With a energy-packed breakfast, we’ll pedal our way to the final destination of Cyclothon before we halt for lunch at Bawal. Leave Delhi around 6 in the evening on 20th August. Day 1: Manali-The day begins with Hotel Check in. Get fresh, have breakfast and take rest. Post Lunch we meet for orientation briefings followed by local sightseeing. Acclimatization is highly necessary before starting such strenuous workout. Also, let your bike get friendly to the roads and we ride say about 20 kms on Manali roads at an elevation of 1900 m. Night stay in Hotel Day 2: Manali to Marhi-N THE RIDE BEGINS. The first stretch of 35 kms offers a panoramic view of Pine and Deodar trees. This is the biggest single climb of any day from 1900 m to 3335 m. The first 10 kms are gentle climb along Beas and then there are stretches with sharper grade. We start early so as to cross traffic for Rohtang pass and reach our destination well before evening. Stay in Dome tents Day 3: Marhi to Sissu- The day begins with the ongoing 12 km ascend to Rohtang La. A clear day will lend you some lovely scenic views on the horizon of snow covered peaks and glaciers. Along the pass, we leave behind the lush greenery and continue our descent to Gramphu. Camp near Khoksar village at an elevation of 3075 m. Night stay in Swiss Tents Day 4: Sissu to Jispa¬¬-We are set for a 55 km ride ahead for the day encompassing magnificent views of the Lahaul Valley and Chamba Valley. Reaching Tandi for a brief halt and finally 37 km descend to Jispa after crossing Keylong and few more uphill terrains. We have reached an elevation of 3300 m, night stay in Swiss Tents Day 5: Jispa to Zing Zing Bar- Day opens up with downhill ride to Darcha followed by a halt. Gear up from here for an uphill ride to Patseo. You can feel the remoteness of the area while reaching Patseo, just a few sheep here n there. As we enter the land of the Lamas, landscape becomes more arid and windswept, unfolding the awesome spectacle of the higher Himalayan ranges. Post Patseo, after 10 more kms you reach Zing Zing bar-base of Baralachala at an elevation of 3800 m. Night stay in Dormitory Day 6: Zing Zing Bar to Sarchu- Today’s ride is packed with steep ascent to the Baralachala pass. No vegetation around and road sides has only rocks and loose stones. From the top you get amazing views of snow-covered peaks including Barashigri, Chandrabhaga and Mulkila. After the pass, it’s a smooth descend to Sarchu crossing Kilong Serai. We are at 4500 m, night stay in Swiss Tents Day 7: Sarchu to Pang- Prepare to embrace the hardest and toughest day of the ride. 38 kms fair ride crossing Brandy Nallah and Whiskey Nallah to the bottom of Gata Loops. Buckle up to cross 22 amazing hairpin curves (Gata Loops) to reach Nakli La at 4800 m. A short downhill followed by uphill through winding routes to reach Lachalung La at 5100 m. This barren Zanskar range is draped by amazing multi-coloured mountains; the hillsides change colours as clouds are blown across the sky. Beyond the pass, there is a long descend to a steep gorge to Pang at 4520 m, night stay in Dormitory Day 8: Pang to Rumtse ride & drive to Leh-Challenge for the day is Tanglang La (the second highest motorable road in India). The day is begun with a short climb to Mori plains and cross Rupshu (desert of the Tibetan Plateau). Post this make way for the sandy track of the Tso Kar Lake and keep cycling to the top of the pass. Most Magnificent views of Himalayas and Karakoram mountains are waiting here for you. Now a smooth and zig-zag downhill to the Rumtse village at 3300 m. Home stay for the night or else you can either drive down to Leh. Day 9: Rumtse to Leh- In case you enjoyed the hospitality of localities during home stay, be ready now for the last span of your wonderful ride. We are only 77 kms from Leh and mostly an easy downhill ride along Kyanmar River and Indus valley. Dramatic scenic views near Upshi, you may visit Hemis, Tikse monastery, other ancient temples and priceless Buddha statues en route, Surpass the Shey Palace and Choglamsar (shelter home for several Tibetan refugees) to reach Leh at 3300 m. Night stay in Hotel Congratulations, you have just accomplished the 6th toughest bicycle ride of the world. Your bicycling tour from Manali to Leh cycling tour ends here.
